August see’s the return of the Pre-season friendlies and Barnstaple has four this year, all against Devon opposition with Ivybidge,  Okehampton and Exmouth coming to Pottington Road, while the Chiefs take a visit to Brixham. This will be a great chance to see how the team shapes up just before the season starts. Dates and times are as shown below. This will be your first chance to see what exciting new signings we have for the coming season.

Finally they have sorted the Colts and Athletics fixtures out and both can be found on this website as will the newly reformed Bucc’s which I hope to have up in the next day or two. Can Athletic finally win that merit table title after being so close over the last two seasons, with the influx of some talented former Colts players who have moved on to senior rugby everything is possible this time around.

So just a brief post to let you know rugby is almost here so don’t forget to get those dates into your diary for what will possibly be the greatest season yet. Before we go remember the club is also showing ALL the Lions test matches against South Africa, I haven’t had details as yet but I’m sure if you contact Jacqui Edwards at BOOKINGS  she will let you know how to reserve your place to watch these two great teams go head to head this summer.

Oh and just before I go don’t forget to sign up the the National Rubgy League review show which will be a weekly review off all the national leagues results available at 6pm every sunday for more details and to join check out this article https://www.barnstaplerugby.co.uk/2021/07/national-league-rugby-launch-new-review-show-for-2021-22/

Remember every subscriber they get from our club results in 40% of that subscription going to Barnstaple Rugby and even better it is only £15 for the whole season (£12 if you subscrivbe before Aug 15th)

See you all soon…
