The highly anticipated Intermediate Cup Final between Barnstaple Athletic and Okehampton, scheduled for this Saturday, 7th February, has been postponed.
This decision has been mandated by the SW RFU Competitions Panel, which has ruled that this date must instead be used to reschedule a previously postponed league fixture. Unfortunately, this means the final—a match we were all eagerly awaiting—has itself become a casualty of the recent weather disruptions. Barnstaple Athletic now have two fixtures to recover, following last Saturday’s postponed league match against St. Ives.
We share in your disappointment and will communicate the new date for the final as soon as it is confirmed. Please expect an update from us in the near future.
THIS SATURDAY AT POTTINGTON ROAD
While the cup final is on hold, the action at Pottington Road continues! Barnstaple Athletic will host Newton Abbot this Saturday in a crucial Counties 1 Western West league match. Kick-off is at 2:00 PM.
We encourage all supporters to come down, back the team, and enjoy an afternoon of live rugby.
We will also be showing Englands first match of the 6 Nations against Wales straight after Athletics match so why not make a full day of it at your favourite rugby club.
